OverDrive Integration Settings (Site)

A site administrator can manage the following settings for a school once OverDrive® is enabled by the district:

  • Override the district OverDrive configuration.

  • Set up an OverDrive Advantage Collection.

  • Define the OverDrive content patrons can access: the library collection, OverDrive Advantage collections, both, or neither.

Before You Begin

You need the following:

  • Completion of the district OverDrive configuration by the Destiny Administrator

    For steps to configuration, see OverDrive (District).

  • Your school's OverDrive Website ID
  • Your school's OverDrive Library ID
  • Your school's OverDrive Authentication Name
  • Your school's OverDrive Advantage Collection ID(s) (if applicable)

Override the District Configuration

  1. Log in as a site user with the Update Site Information permission.
  2. Select Admin > Site Configuration > Site Info sub-tab.
  3. In the OverDrive® Integration Settings section, do the following:
    1. Enter your school's Website ID in the District OverDrive® Website ID Override district setting field.
    2. Enter your school's Library ID in the District OverDrive® Library ID Override district setting field.
    3. Select or deselect the Show Library Collection checkbox to indicate if you want it to be available to patrons at your school.
    4. If you use OverDrive Advantage, enter your school's Collection ID(s) in the Advantage Collection IDs field, and then select the Show Advantage Collections checkbox.

      Notes:

      • You can enter more than one Advantage ID, separated by a comma.
      • If you do not know your Advantage Collection ID, contact OverDrive.
    5. Enter your school's authentication name in the District OverDrive® Authentication Name Override district settings field.
  4. To verify the connection, click Test Connection. The OverDrive page appears if the connection is working.
  5. To retrieve your OverDrive account information, click Run Report.
  6. Click Save.
